The dairy is a family run business. Established in 1938, it is now in its third generation.
Over 95% of our milk is sourced direct from local farms and complies with national farm assured quality standards.

"Hambleton View Farm in Burton Leonard, Yorkshire, has been farmed by Ian's family for many years, with 200 acres devoted to cattle, sheep and pigs.
On the farm our hens get quality feed made from natural ingredients without added colour or antibiotics. To ensure bird health we are committed to a programme of stringent and regular testing of our flocks which roam free every day. This includes vaccination and regular testing for salmonella.
After being graded and packed on the farm the free-range eggs are delivered within three days of lay to guarantee product freshness.
The majority of our customers throughout Yorkshire are high-quality, independent retail outlets including butchers, delicatessens, greengrocers and farm shops.

OK - we confess - Acorn Dairy is JUST outside of North Yorkshire. But much of their organic milk is from cows grazing in North Yorkshire - so are we forgiven?

All our milk and juices come in glass bottles, which we collect, wash and re-use.
Our eggs are delivered in cardboard egg boxes.
